Let’s face it, you can’t sell your product or service to everyone. Your brand doesn’t catch everyone’s attention (NOT YET). So why would they be interested to follow you on social media?
1. Numbers of followers doesn’t matter
Terrible marketers will just be after the number of followers. Followers are not customers. Customers buy, followers don’t. Having thousands of followers who don’t buy is as equally worthless as having none.
2. Change focus. Engage with customers!
Talk to your customers but not all of them. Just those who are really into your product/service/content/etc. When you can find these people, you’ll find success. Why?
Those who are really in need of your idea/product will most likely express gratitude. It’s like a long awaited scratch to a bad itch. And when the itch is over, it feels great. So the more severe a customer’s problem is, the more likely they are to shout for joy, the more they will tell others about you.
You get the biggest return from customers who is in great need of your business. You don’t need to persuade them, they’ll come for you. They’ll share your business to others as an act of gratitude.
